Let me go ahead and say this to get it out of the way...Schools are not the most efficient nor the most productive that they could be. But its what you make it. There is no way to make anything uniform. I will never be able to promise you that every school will be the best school. But they are all constantly improving over time. For example, my father went to a brand new highschool that was super popular and super high-tech...and oh yeah, it was 1967. Now, that same high school is pretty much the same as it was in 1967 (i.e. old buildings and old technology does not translate into a poor education). But when my father went to highschool, most likely his senior year was more like my freshmen year of highschool. Over approximately 40 years, a highschool education evolved into a more efficient curriculum, better teaching practices, and more complex subjects at an earlier age. I wouldn't say that I was any smarter than my father was 40 years before, but the education system just simply improved.
So back to my original point...Why is it my social responsibility to provide you with all the things in life that you want? I work to earn the ability to afford certain things in life. For the majority of the population in the world, more money would be fantastic. I can think of lots of things that I could do or buy if only I had more money. But I don't buy those things because I don't have that money. So I prioritize. I know the things I need to live...food, shelter, insurance, car to get to work, clothes, etc. I realize that sitting on my couch watching TV all day does not get me those things.
I get it...Stuff in general is expensive. So one person's wages may not be able to buy all those necessity life items. But that's why most households are two income homes. Here's a few simple ideas to help you in figuring out the theory that income should at least equal expenses.
1) Don't have a bunch of kids! As we all know, kids are expensive. So why have lots that you can't afford anyway? Just stop at 1 or 2. Condoms cost pennies in comparison to babies.
2) If your kids are old enough to have a job, then make them get one. Depending on how old they are, at least a part-time job. Too many kids are already having babies by the time they are even thinking about getting a job.
3) Tell any of those other degenerate adults that are living off of you to get a job. I don't care who you are and what you look like, Wal-Mart will hire you.
4) There are so many services and charities available at all times, use what you need, when you need it. When you don't need it anymore, start trying to give back to others.
So the question is this...Regardless of the amount of money I make, why do I owe it to you to provide you these things I work so hard to provide for myself?
