Our puppies are so big! They left our house in late January to go live with my parents. The plan was to send both puppies to their house where they could basically be weaned from Tinkerbell and everything they knew at our house. My parents were keeping Taylor (the salt and pepper male) and my brother, David, would be keeping Trouper (the black male). It was so sad to see them go, but at the same time...They were only going a few miles away and we would be able to see the entire litter (all 2 of them) all the time! My mom was going to do potty training bootcamp and start reenforcing things like crate training and solid dog food with both puppies but mostly Trouper. We were hoping that this would get Trouper lightyears ahead of where he would be if he went to live with David immediately (as David works long hours and would not be able to come home but maybe once during the day). Well, two weeks turned into four and then six...Well, you get the point. Basically, Trouper still lives with my parents and he is almost 6 months old now. It just didn't work in David's favor at this point to have a dog and especially a puppy. But that is okay...Taylor and Trouper love each other and I am not sure how they would be apart. We just hope David will get settled one of these days and maybe Trouper can daddy a puppy for him in about 2 years.
They are super cute. I took some updated puppy mugshots this past weekend for your enjoyment...
