For all that know me, they know that I don't cook. I remodeled my kitchen a little over a year ago and have top of the line appliances and everything else just to look at. The fridge and beverage cooler get used a lot though. We have a girl's night at someone's house every once in a while and tonight's the night. The theme is Summer Salads at Catherine's house. I apparently didn't read the entire email and had no clue that it was themed. So today...I mixed my Strawberry Cream Freeze "Salad". It's not really a salad, but I think you could put the word salad on the end of anything that isn't cooked or baked and call it a salad...So that's exactly what I did! I found the recipe on a box of vanilla wafers. I haven't actually tasted it yet, but it looks yummy!
The only problem with cooking...I mean baking...I mean mixing...is that a crying baby makes it hard to actually do it. There should be a cook book for mommys with babies - It could go something like this...Step 1) Mix A and B, Step 2) Stop for baby if needed, Step 3) Mix AB with C, Step 4) Beat for 2 minutes, Step 5) Stop for baby if needed. I was only making a recipe off the vanilla wafer box! Yet, I was still worried about a potential disaster because of all the stopping and starting again.
I will post pictures soon after it finishes freezing...
