I am officially 29! My official birthday was a Saturday this year. So it all started on Friday!!! I had an ice cream cake at work including the singing and candle thing, then lunch with some of the girls, then a nap (!!!), then dinner at Ruth's Chris with Phillip (super yummy...). My parents babysat Emerson so we were able to go without changing a diaper or worry about making too much noise in a public place for at least 2 hours (shocker!). Phillip and Emerson gave me a gorgeous bracelet (from Zundel's!) a day early (*sigh* thank goodness Phillip has good taste when it comes to jewelry).
We were supposed to be in Sumiton/Tuscaloosa this weekend. Although it would have been fun to go to the Alabama - Arkansas game (minus the pre-game flooding), I am secretly excited that we didn't go. Shhh...Don't tell anyone!
On Saturday, we spent the day just getting things done...fun I know. We went to the pool store, Target, and ate lunch at Cracker Barrel (haha...I think this is what you do on your birthday after 80...I am just getting a head start) all before the Alabama - Arkansas game at 2:30. Then the world stopped as it always does for Alabama football. After that, we went to La Pizzeria for dinner (I have never been there before and it was nice and different...I highly encourage everyone to go try it out). I received a few gifts...most notably the snuggie that my brother, David, gave me. When the whole snuggie phenomenon started, I thought I put a bulletin board on my forehead that said "If you buy me a snuggie, I will kill you!". Apparently, David didn't see the message. So now, I am a not-so-proud owner of a snuggie...Yep not-so-proud and not-so-happy either.
Now, it's Sunday morning...And I have to wait 365 days until my next birthday...so unfair.
