Phillip and I have been busy busy busy! We worked so hard to get things done before our first baby shower on April 18th that we spent the next week pretty much doing nothing. Basically, its been a whirlwind of out-of-town company and very little down time since. We got a few things done this weekend and have a game plan on the remaining items that we absolutely need to take care of.
As for baby, I have been busy washing everything. Most everything needs to be ironed (Rachel - You will be blessed with Keith's ironing obsession very soon!). Plus, its more difficult than I thought it would be to decide where everything should go. I assume that I will most likely decide it goes somewhere else later, but I can't just leave it in piles all over the place. I need it done! I want to take some pictures and post of the almost finished nursery. The only thing that will not be "done" before the baby arrives is the wall letters that we just purchased! As we all know, the name is a surprise to everyone so we can't put it on the wall just yet.
Today, we went to the doctor. Basically, there is no change and the baby is still just in there. June 10th is looking to still be a great estimate. I decided not to read too much of the baby books because they usually always have more of the negative what can go wrong stuff that I probably don't need to know anyway. So I most likely seem to be a big idiot to my doctor because I don't really know anything or even have educated questions. I assumed that you go to the doctor on a weekly basis so they can give you an idea on how much longer. Today, I asked when and what precludes a pretty good timeline (the always incessant planner). Basically, she told me that I could show no signs of labor and then go home and my water break! What the crap? I don't understand...This is not what I planned. I figured that I had plenty of time to get some things done and now I am freaking out! I can handle the house stuff, but the work stuff is what I am not prepared for. I am officially starting "office bootcamp" tomorrow. If I was to go out and have to leave my job for someone else to handle, then we will all be in trouble because no one would be able to find anything! So I am going to find as many available hands that I can tomorrow and get it done. I think I am going to take a before and after picture just to prove to everyone how bad it really is.
