We have a baby name!

We have a baby name! Its final and there is no going back now! I just took everything I could find that could possibly be monogrammed to be done. I love monograms and its been killing me that I haven't put it on everything! Although that has probably been a blessing in disguise so I didn't end up with everything with the same 3 initials and then have to name another baby (Mom - Don't get your hopes up...This just may be it for us!) within those same initials just not to have to buy everything brand new again. The initials are E.G.F. for all those curious individuals out there...

We decided a long time ago that we may or may not find out the sex of the baby. But we eventually compromised and just found out. But I made it clear to Phillip that we weren't going to let other people name our baby. By that, I mean, we tell some of the names that have made it to the short list and then find that our parents and friends give us their honest (and most likely negative) opinion and it influences our final decision. We decided a long time ago that we didn't have any family names that we wanted to use right now and we both like traditional yet individual. By that - Something that isn't unheard of and is easily spelled, yet not super common. Phillip had his number 1 favorite as did I...We both lost and settled in the middle. Phillip actually came up with the first name and then in listing off that first name with previously discussed and agreed upon possible middle names, we found it! It's very sweet and a little unique, but totally perfect.

We have only told one set of friends - Keith and Rachel. Luckily, their reaction was positive as hoped. But their lips are sealed and they aren't saying a word!
