Three Months Old

Emerson is officially 3 months old as of September 8th! She is 13 weeks and 1 day!

She has grown so much in the past 3 months. Emerson is no longer the baby that you hold in a laying down position. She loves checking out the world around her and is rather unhappy when she can't turn her head to see everything and everyone around her. I made a list of what she is currently doing...
  • Holds her head up straight with no real major bobbles (unless its late in the day and she is exhausted).
  • Smiles and laughs all the time (thank goodness for a happy baby!).
  • Sits up easily with balancing help.
  • Loves to stand (putting weight on her feet and trying to balance).
  • Recognizes certain people and their voices even if she can't see them, specifically - me, Phillip, and my parents.
  • Squealing and cooing non-stop.
  • Blowing bubbles at every opportunity.
  • Rolled over from tummy to back twice so far (but she's not too fond of tummy time so she doesn't have the opportunity too often).
  • Plays with her toys on the activity mat.
  • Enthralled with her own hands and feet.
Beyond that, she loves her swing, her activity mat (I just had to add new toys because it keeps her so occupied), and baths! We still take her to restaurants and wherever else we need to go. Her car seat is like her kryptonite and immediately makes her go to sleep for some reason. Emerson goes to work with me at least once a week and sometimes twice. She mostly sits in her bouncy seat when she is there (which sits on my desk). As of what she isn't too fond of...Well, mostly clothing and diaper changes. And Emerson still goes from fine to completely starving in a matter of seconds.
